With a Skip, Hop, Run: Activity & Discussion

This presentation is specific to my book, With a Skip, Hop, Run.  During this visit, students will engage in an activity (think: scavenger hunt, art making, game, design factory) that will introduce them to thinking about nature. We then recap what we learned during the activity and transition into a discussion about spending time outdoors.

With a Skip, Hop, Run:
Teacher Workshop

This workshop is targeted towards educators. In it, I present some of my key research findings from my work in graduate school that inspired the creation of With a Skip, Hop, Run. We discuss the benefits of spending time outside and different methods that teachers can facilitate doing so with their classes during the school day.
